  this perfectly encapsulates the behaviour and opinions of the left and dave rubin nails it - "you're not oppressed, you're entitled".. lots of of shouting and claims of being denied rights to speak but nothing really to say when given a mic, just endless shouting and baseless confused claims about 'free speech'.

  hey, some blm bitches try and get in on it too because, why not.. constant "i have a question, i have a question ..." as though she isn't allowed to ask it when the reality is she really has nothing to say, she just wants to stop other people being able to talk.

  what a stupid cunt.. sadly, the left is indoctrinating a generation to think that *this* is what political discourse and "taking a stand" is.

  My views on issues land pretty much in the middle. The issue I have with what gets public attention from each side is that regular people demonstrate an inability to engage in debate or conversation about issues without resorting to personal attacks and the lack of respect for people they don't agree with or understand. In the OP, the girl was referred to as a cunt and there is a lot of other name-calling in this thread. Is this the kind of people we want to be?

  I'm sure we can engage the topics without resorting to using easy but inaccurate names as a substitute for real thinking.

  She started out asking a good question, but then couldn't get it together to actually engage in a real conversation.

  I also think this overlapping generation idea was something that allows them to keep appointing younger and younger people to the Governing Body. It seems like all of the "helpers" at some point realize they are anointed and promoted when they need more buts in chairs.

  I am so glad I don't try to turn my brain into a pretzel to try and make this stuff make sense when it doesn't. So much made up shit.

  abandoning a damaging cult is not a crime, in fact it might be viewed as a moral imperative given the levels of abuse awaiting those surrendering to its teachings and worse –its "ecclesiastic authority".. it has always seemed counter productive to inform potential enemies when your life´s goals now conflict with their rigid agendas.

  disassociation letters and manifestos may be cathartic in the writing, but the outcome is a 100% certainty because of the inflexibility and lack of caring by the very group it is delivered to.. .

  "fading" from under "high control" seems an oxymoronic risk at best, and currently faders walk on eggshells and look over their shoulders for years during and after the attempt - fearful that the price of their freedom will be the destruction of their friendships and family ties.. perhaps a peculiar additional preparation to a fade can reverse the balance of power – and high control cults are all about power.. .. bear in mind: - .

  I have successfully faded. People are polite but I am not included in anything. So, shunned, yes. But as I told my mom, the same people who talked to me when I went to meeting talk to me now, so what is the difference?

  If they want to hunt me down and disfellowship me, fine. But I will not disassociate because that is giving them authority over me they do not have the right to have.

  I don't understand how it is ok in some parts of the world and not in others. I thought the standard was business dress - beards have been acceptable as business dress for quite a long time now....

  If everyone is struggling and making minimum wage as a janitor, how are they going to have enough to donate to WT and get their hours in?? Penalized for making too much, penalized for not making enough and not getting in enough hours.... it's a no win situation.

  At the same time, idolize the wealthy ones in the congregation...

  advice please/data protection

  i have just received an email from an elder's wife regarding the new data protection laws.

  between the lines it sounds like she has been asked to contact me.. she says they 'don't want to leave me out' so they want me to fill out the form as 'i'm still part of the congregation'.

  also, my blood card needs updating, apparently.. the elder in charge will be in contact.. obviously, i'm not doing either, but what do i do?

  You can just say, "Thanks for letting me know." If that doesn't work, you can always say
  "I'll need to go over this with my husband and get back to you." Then never get back to them.
